THE STORY
Each pitcher starts as a ball of stoneware clay on a wheel in our Portland studio. After shaping by hand, it rests for three days before the first firing.
Then comes the glaze — a matte finish mixed to our recipe, brushed on in three coats. A second firing at cone-10 locks it to the clay. The result is non-porous, chip-resistant, and built to last lifetimes.
DETAILS
Sourced from a small mine in Oregon. Fine-grained, high-iron, fires to a warm neutral that reads like natural stone.
At 2350°F the glaze and clay vitrify together. The result: non-porous, dishwasher-safe, and chip-resistant to a degree cheaper ceramics can never match.
Every pitcher passes through our hands four times before it leaves the studio. No two are identical — small variations are the signature, not the flaw.

The matte finish feels deliberate — my old pitchers all had that shiny glaze that looks cheap. This one reads as an object I'll hand down. Six months in, zero chips, zero staining.

I was torn on the price until I held it. The weight tells you everything — this is the real thing, not mass-produced. My kitchen finally has a piece that earns its counter space.

Fast shipping, recycled paper packaging, a handwritten note. Small brand details that big retailers lost. I'll be back for the matching mugs.
